Travellog – Fin

Well my travel log is complete. At the risk of sounding repetitive, I hope you enjoyed reading it – I certainly enjoyed writing it. Oh, and being there. That was good too.

In the time it’s taken me to write that and almost nothing else, I’ve been working hard, as you’ll have gathered from the long quiet period which I ended last week. I’m still enjoying work, though working 6 days a week fairly takes its toll on my energy levels. However, I’ve also managed to get bind up and running on my server, and now that I’ve taken delivery of my extra network card, I’m just about ready to set up dhcpd and host the network properly from the server. Exciting times.

(on that note, almost as soon as I’ve finished writing this I’ll be taking the server offline to install the network card, so if you try to see the site and fail, but then try again and it’s back, then I’ve probably just lied to you, and dhcpd is most likely up-and-running!)

Just a quick update today, since I have server-tinkering and flat-hunting to do, so on that note I’ll leave you.

Take care

Loved seeing your photos, Alastair and other travel news. It’s a long way from Melbourne and super for me to be out there in the Inner Hebrides and seeing Oban from the sea. Looks in your welcome page like Edinburgh from the top of one of the Univ buildings?… But you won’t have to go there now unless you want to.congrats on your success!

What does it mean my comment is awaiting moderation? Too long or not PC??!!

I have to review each comment someone makes until they’ve had one accepted. Stops spam well on a low traffic website like this.

Oh and it’s Edinburgh from Blackford Hill – near the university. Well done!
